Based on the latest XSL-T Recommendation (November 1999), Xport 2001 will
give those organizations owning large sets of structured information virtually
unlimited applications of their data.
Designed for performance, Xport will handle large data sets with complex style sheets in fractions of a second; this impressive feature will enable those organizations to push the concept re-usability beyond its initial limits by using variations on existing data.
All the facilities described by the standard are provided: addressing elements of a tree, moving around, selecting parts, duplicating some, generating additional information, sorting, numbering, etc.
Xport comes with a very simple graphical user interface but also mainly as a COM component to ease its integration in any existing process.
Additionally, the spectrum of Xport has been extended to include the ability to transform MS-Word (RTF) documents towards XML structures using the standard transformation facility. The reverse transformation is also provided.
